  • About:
We are a local metal group from Northern Kentucky, and our goal is to make driving, heavy music with groove and syncopated melody. Check back for updates re: shows, cds, and merch.
AblicK started playing music together just before entering high school in the summer of 1999. The original five members included Eric Rose on guitar, Kory Roaden on bass, Colin Kennedy also on guitar, Jake Cooley on drums, and Scott Friend on vocals. After a couple of years of increasing tension, Jake left the band and was subsequently replaced by drummer Kent Morales in 2003. After graduating high school Scott decided to join the navy, which forced him to quit in late 2004. After years of playing and struggling to fulfill the singing position, the band invited frontman Dan Smith of Oxford, OH to join in 2007.
Ablick has recently and eagerly released a long-awaited EP, and respectfully wishes to gain some critical feedback. Additionally, the band has been rigorously playing shows with both local and national acts. Some national names include: DevilDriver, Threat Signal, God Forbid, Dead to Fall, Dirtfedd, Powerman 5000, Flatline, Thy will be Done, and The Agonist. The band is ever grateful for all the opportunities they have encountered, and wants to thank everyone that has helped them throughout the many years of making music.
    Thank you all!
